Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Female PE Teacher to join our team at Repton Cairo School and lead on the area of Outdoor Adventure Education. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children in a physical education setting in schools and have experience and an interest in Outdoor Adventure Education. Any candidate must possess the ability to create engaging and developmentally appropriate physical activities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement and teach sports-based PE programmes in collaboration with colleagues.
- Lead on the development of Outdoor Adventure based activities.
- Encourage physical development and healthy habits through fun, interactive and challenging activities.
- Monitor and assess student progress and provide feedback.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related field.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in teaching PE and Outdoor Adventure activities.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A commitment to promoting physical activity and well-being among young learners.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Share the responsibility for the planning, teaching, and assessment of Chemistry across the Senior School, specifically focusing on IGCSE and A-Level cohorts.
- Display the highest standards of professionalism in teaching and in relationships with colleagues, pupils, and the wider School community.
- Plan teaching to achieve progression of learning by identifying clear teaching objectives and specifying how they will be taught.
- Set tasks which challenge pupils and ensure high levels of interest and engagement in both theoretical and practical laboratory work.
- Set clear targets for pupils, building on prior attainment to ensure excellent academic outcomes in external examinations.
- Identify and support special educational needs or more able pupils within the classroom.
- Contribute proactively to the school’s extra-curricular programme.
- Carry out other such duties as the Principal may reasonably direct from time to time.
Qualifications and Attainment:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or a closely related scientific field (Essential).
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (Essential).
Skills and Experience Required:
- A minimum of 2 years of high-quality teaching experience as a qualified Chemistry teacher (Essential).
- Proven experience and a strong track record in delivering IGCSE and A-Level Chemistry (Essential).
- Excellent subject knowledge, particularly regarding laboratory safety, practical experiments, and advanced chemical concepts.
- Excellent communication skills, able to successfully communicate the underpinning principles of the curriculum with parents.
- Strong organizational skills, resilience, adaptability, and a sense of humour.
- International school teaching experience (Desirable).
